Leadership

Hinchcliffe & Company is headed by Dion Hinchcliffe, an internationally recognized business strategist and enterprise architect who works hands-on with clients in the Fortune 500, federal government, and Internet startup community.

Dion helps lead the industry by evolving the thinking for next-generation businesses in various social media including ZDNet's influential Enterprise Web 2.0 Blog and the Web 2.0 Blog. He is extensively published in leading industry periodicals and journals including the Microsoft Architecture Journal, AjaxWorld Magazine, SOA/Web Services Journal, and is currently Editor-in-Chief of Social Computing Journal. His thought leading work has been covered in BusinessWeek, CNET News, Wired Magazine, CIO Magazine, and many other well-known periodicals.

In addition to helping companies deliver effective Web 2.0 and Enterprise 2.0 solutions with Hinchcliffe & Company, Dion is also is a regular keynote speaker on the topics of Web 2.0, SOA, and Enterprise 2.0 and has presented or keynoted at Web 2.0 Expo, CeBIT, Business Integration Forum, Interop, JavaOne, SOA Web Services Edge, Enterprise 2.0 Conference, Office 2.0, and many other major business and software conferences. Management Team

Kate Allen, Chief Operating Officer

Kate Allen is the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Principal for Hinchcliffe & Company. She has also served as an independent consultant to the Departments of Education and Defense. She worked for Chemonics International providing Project Management and New Business Development.

Kate provides contract management, financial management, human resources, client management, and technical support.

Kate holds a MA in International Development from American University and a BA in Political Science from Cal. State U., Long Beach. She served in the Peace Corps in Benin, West Africa from 1995-1997.

John FandelJohn Fandel is currently the Executive Vice President Business Solutions and a Managing Partner for Hinchcliffe & Company. Most recently, he was an EVP and General Manager of Corporate Solutions for O'Reilly Media. Prior to O'Reilly, he was a Sr. Executive and COO with MarketLive, Inc., a leading enterprise e-commerce software and solution provider. Before MarketLive, he was a Founding Partner, CIO and Business Case Practice Leader for C-Change, Inc. and was part of the Sr. Management team at E-Myth Academy (formerly Gerber Business Development).

Mr. Fandel is a results driven executive with proven successes in designing and building flexible, scalable and sustainable business operations ? taking a holistic POV that focuses on leveraging and optimizing an organizations resource ? People/talent, Business Processes and Systems ? to provide the operational efficiencies required to successfully deliver profitable, high-value business solutions for complex public and private organizations. As a business leader and a Web 2.0 subject matter expert, he focuses on cultivating an operating environment that promotes innovation and growth through active participation and collaboration. His strengths and expertise include: Business Strategy formation and execution, leadership & management development, business process design, corporate systems design and deployment, corporate transformation and community management services. He has a strong, entrepreneurial competence in designing best practices-based Web 2.0 solutions, in delivering consulting services that produce bottom line results for clients ranging in size from startups/small business to mid-market to Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Fandel is an in-demand business adviser, providing strategic and operational guidance to numerous entrepreneurs throughout the San Francisco Bay area.

Mr. Fandel holds a BS Degree in Accounting from San Francisco State University and has completed Graduate Studies in Information Technology at San Francisco State University.

Jeff Kelly, Director of Education Solutions and Global Services Staff Development

Jeff Kelly is the Director of Educational Solutions for Hinchcliffe & Company and Web 2.0 University™. Jeff came to Hinchcliffe & Co. from AOL to improve and expand the Hinchcliffe & Company learning and development programs. Jeff takes Hinchcliffe & Company's extensive business and technology knowledge and builds immersive learning products that help organizations understand topics such as Web 2.0, Enterprise 2.0, Social Computing. His unique understanding of the nexus of business strategy, technology and individual performance brings results-based practicality to learning and performance improvement products. An unrepentant computer geek, Jeff has been developing dynamic Web-based applications for over ten years and developing business-driven learning and performance improvement solutions for over 15 years. Jeff has a B.S. in Biology from Purdue University and a M.A. in Educational Technology Leadership from George Washington University.
